Position OverviewSiemens Government Technologies (SGT) Digital Solutions (DS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization, helping federal leaders leverage digital data to optimize operations, predict outcomes more accurately, and reduce maintenance costs.
SGT is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Solution Architect to support a critical digital engineering program for the U.
S.
Air Force (USAF).
As an SGT Solution Architect, you will be a trusted advisor and subject matter expert working with other project team members and business partners to design and deliver innovative software solutions using Siemens Xcelerator portfolio.
As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for understanding the customer's business requirements then developing and delivering solutions that align the customer's objectives with known best practices.
The result is a Teamcenter-based solutions that supports USAF maintenance and repair sustainment processes, ensuring the fielded assets (weapon system) are mission-ready and their configurations are kept up-to-date, accurate and complete.
The resulting solution is expected to support critical business functions / processes such as:
o Collecting data from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and sub-tier contractors, then integrating said data with USAF organically generated data.
o Enabling Serial Number (S/N) control tracking and synchronization across business systemso Provisioning and spare part procurement, including integrations with other business systems.
o Configuration management of fielded assets and asset artifacts
Responsibilities:
Perform general responsibilities associated with a PLM Solution Architect role, such as:
o Understand and demonstrate how Siemens solutions enable digital transformation and improve business performance.
o Analyze business requirements and transform into an architectural blueprint and roadmap of solution components that integrate with other enterprise systems.
o Demonstrate subject matter expertise and thought leadership by preparing and recommending implementation approaches.
o Lead the definition and enablement phases for assigned solution areas.
o Lead validation and acceptance activities for assigned solution areas.
o Set and manage stakeholder expectations.
o Provide accurate and timely information to project managers on status, plans, issues and risks.
o Work with project team members (architects and implementers), business partners (IT staff) and the customer's business representatives to assist with specific tasks associated with the implementation of Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) solution for the USAF:
o Map integration and sustainment processes for Service Lifecycle Management within an organically managed USAF environment.
o Develop requirements and specifications for Tc data models, workflows, forms, GUI refinements (based on user role) and relationships to other data to manage the maintenance requirements of the fielded assets, including individual serialized units and asset artifacts such as 3D/2D engineering data, technical specs and operating manuals.
o Develop requirements and specifications to automate the capture of operational data and recording of said data against the appropriate fielded unit Serial Number (S/N) controlled item.
o Develop requirements and specifications for Maintenance Manuals (Technical Orders) interfaces/integrations related to the engineering data as well as the serialized units it is applicable to.
o Perform limited configuration of Tc SLM to test / validate solution approaches and identify gaps.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and
Experience:
o Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent years of relevant experience (10+) in PLM.
o Minimum 7 years of experience implementing Teamcenter to manage the design, manufacture and sustainment of long-life / high-cost assets, with a solid understanding of the:
o Underlying Teamcenter architecture of the Aerospace and Defense module and the Service Lifecycle Management module o Processes and solutions for managing various Bills-of-Material (BOM), including as-designed, as-built, neutral, service and as-maintained, including BOM validation and reconciliation.
o Enterprise Change Management (ECM) o Usage and configuration of Teamcenter clients (RAC and AWC)o Minimum 3 years of experience implementing solutions that integrate Teamcenter with other enterprise business systems (ERP, MES, ILS) o Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team implementing Teamcenter.
o Minimum 5 years of experience working in a customer facing environment.
o Solid understanding of configuration management practices for fielded assets (serialized tracking)o Proven technical leadership skills and a track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams - leading in a technical direction not an organizational management.
Will be part of a team but be the SME.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillso Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Experience using Agile principles in project execution.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and
Experience:
o DoD 8570 IAT II certification, such as CompTIA Security
or equivalent Security Clearance:
o United States citizen with ability to obtain a Top-Secret U.
S Government Security Clearance Work Location:
Remote work and estimated travel will be 20%.
Majority of the work will be onsite (80% at one of the following locations below).
